Video: Colts’ trick play goes awry
The next time the Colts try to fool the Patriots with a trick play, they might want to reconsider. In Sunday night’s primetime NFL game, a 34-27 New England victory, Indianapolis unveiled a trick formation on fourth down at its 35-yard line.
The ploy backfired, or as Colts punter Pat McAfee said “It turned out to be one of the worst failed fakes probably of all time.”
The Patriots defended the play, took over possession and six plays later Tom Brady threw a touchdown pass to LeGarrette Blount.
