Ex-Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch took a seat Saturday during the national anthem at a pre-season Oakland Raiders game, and social media went a little crazy.

Lynch, who did not play, sat on a cooler eating a banana during the anthem.

Lynch rarely talks to the media but has voiced his support for quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s season-long decision to kneel during the anthem to draw attention to what he saw as incidents of police brutality against people of color.

People on social media, on the other hand, had plenty to say both for and against the move.
