With water pooling on their practice fields and the worst of a massive, Northern California storm still to come, the 49ers have moved their noon practice indoors to a nearby (but undisclosed) location.
Jim Harbaugh hinted at that approach on Wednesday. “We want to get a really good workout (Wednesday) not knowing what tomorrow is going to bring weather wise,” he said. “If we get the benefit of practicing in some rain that would be beneficial as well.”
There is no rain forecast for Sunday’s game in Seattle.
The 49ers have moved their practices due to wet, sloppy conditions in the past, but not in the last decade. This is the first time in recent memory they have held a home, mid-week walk-through practice indoors.
