Locals watch: Kasey Perry to compete in team dressage final Friday
What athletes with Sacramento-area connections are up to at the Summer Olympics:
DeMarcus Cousins, Kings, basketball: The U.S. men play Serbia on Friday (3 p.m., NBCSN) after surviving Wednesday’s challenge from Australia.
Megan Rapinoe, Redding, soccer: The U.S. women play Sweden in Friday’s quarterfinals at 9 a.m. (NBCSN). If they win, they’ll have three days of rest before Tuesday’s semifinals.
Alex Obert, Loomis, water polo: The U.S. men (1-2) play Montenegro on Friday.

Sam Dommer, Folsom, rowing: The men’s eights won Thursday’s repechage in 5 minutes, 51.13 seconds and will be in Lane 5 for Saturday’s final.
Kasey Perry, Orangevale, equestrian: The 2013 Sacramento State graduate was in 17th place after Thursday’s second day of the dressage competition. She will compete in the team dressage final on Friday.
