Locals watch: Kasey Perry-Glass and Team USA win bronze medal in equestrian team dressage

DeMarcus Cousins, Kings, basketball: He had five points and three rebounds in the U.S. men’s 94-91 victory over Serbia on Friday. Next: Sunday vs. France, 10:45 a.m. (NBCSN).

Megan Rapinoe, Redding, soccer: Rapinoe did not score in the U.S. women’s 4-3 loss in penalty kicks to Sweden in Friday’s quarterfinals, eliminating the Americans from medal contention.

Alex Obert, Loomis, water polo: The U.S. men lost to Montenegro 8-5 on Friday. Next: Sunday vs. Italy, 11:30 a.m.

Sam Dommer, Folsom, rowing: The men’s eights, which won Thursday’s repechage, will be in Lane 5 for Saturday’s final.

Kasey Perry-Glass, Orangevale, equestrian: Perry helped the United States win a bronze medal in the team dressage final Friday, the Americans’ first dressage Olympic medal since 2004.

Cale Simmons, Rocklin, pole vault: The second-place finisher at the U.S. trials competes in qualifying Saturday at 4:20 p.m.
