Sacramento River Cats

River Cats broadcasts moving to ESPN 1320

The Sacramento River Cats are moving up – on the AM radio dial, that is.

The team announced Wednesday that all 144 games this season will be broadcast on ESPN 1320. River Cats’ games had been broadcast on Talk 650 the past five seasons.

Johnny Doskow will continue to be the team’s play-by-play announcer. It will be Doskow’s 15th season as the voice of the River Cats.

The River Cats open the season April 9 against the Salt Lake Bees at Raley Field.

ESPN 1320 is home to The Rise Guys, featuring Whitey Gleason and Mark Kreidler, weekdays 2 to 6 p.m. The station also broadcasts many of ESPN’s nationally syndicated talk shows.
