Adam Duvall stays hot, but River Cats drop fifth in a row

Adam Duvall went 2 for 4 to raise his average to .424, but the host El Paso Chihuahuas handed the River Cats their fifth straight loss, 6-1 on Friday night.

Cats starter Robert Coello (2-1) allowed all six runs (five earned) on eight hits in five innings.

Sacramento scored in the first inning on consecutive two-out singles by Juan Perez, Duvall and Jarrett Parker.

El Paso responded with two runs in the bottom of the first. With two outs, Jake Goebbert singled, and Brett Wallace hit his third home run of the season.

Chihuahuas starter Jason Lane (2-1), a converted outfielder, earned the victory with seven strong innings.
