Jake Peavy sharp in River Cats’ loss to Reno Aces

Jake Peavy pitched six strong innings in likely his last rehab start for Sacramento, but the River Cats lost to the Reno Aces 3-2 on Sunday at Raley Field.

Peavy yielded one run on five hits, walked two and struck out three.

Adam Duvall and Hector Sanchez homered for Sacramento. Duvall leads the Pacific Coast League with 15 homers.

Reno scored twice in the seventh inning off Steven Okert to lead 3-2. Trayvon Robinson led off with a homer, and Nick Buss scored on Sanchez’s throwing error.

Sacramento’s Ehire Adrianza went 0 for 3 to end his hitting streak at eight games, one shy of his season high. During the streak, Adrianza hit .300 (12 for 40) with two doubles, a home run and six RBIs, the River Cats reported.
