Kelby Tomlinson, Jarrett Parker star in Cats’ win
Kelby Tomlinson collected five hits and Jarrett Parker drove in four runs, leading the visiting River Cats to a 10-6 victory over the Reno Aces on Saturday night.
Tomlinson went 5 for 6 with a triple and scored three runs, and Parker was 3 for 4 with a solo homer. Carlos Triunfel added three hits, including two doubles, and two RBIs. Sacramento finished with 16 hits and seven walks.
The River Cats led 7-0 after 3 1/2 innings, but Reno scored four runs in the fourth. The Aces added two runs in the seventh to pull within 8-6, but Parker homered in the eighth, and Adam Duvall hit a sacrifice fly after Tomlinson’s triple in the ninth.
