Perez lifts Cats over Tacoma in 12 innings

Juan Perez drove in Ryan Lollis with a single in the 12th inning to give the visiting River Cats a 4-3 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers on Friday night.

Lollis led off the inning with his second double of the game and fifth hit of the night. He advanced to third on Kelby Tomlinson’s sacrifice bunt and scored on Perez’s line drive to left field.

Mike Broadway retired the side in order in the bottom of the 12th for his seventh save.

Sacramento starter Chris Stratton pitched eight strong innings, and the River Cats outhit Tacoma 16-5.
