Sacramento River Cats fall to El Paso
The El Paso Chihuahuas took control with a four-run seventh inning and beat the River Cats 6-3 at Raley Field on Tuesday night.
The River Cats led 3-1 after Mac Williamson hit a two-run, inside-the-park homer in the third and Ben Turner had a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
El Paso’s big inning included three walks, a batter hit by a pitch, a balk, a wild pitch, a fielding error by shortstop Kelby Tomlinson and two singles.
Giants outfielder Nori Aoki, on a rehabilitation assignment for a broken ankle, went 1 for 3 for the River Cats.
