Fresno beats Cats on White homer
Tyler White hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning, lifting the host Fresno Grizzlies to a 2-0 victory over the River Cats on Friday night.
Three Fresno pitchers combined on a seven-hitter. Sacramento starter Chris Stratton, drafted in the first round (20th overall) by the Giants in 2012, fell to 2-4.
Stratton pitched six innings, allowing two runs on four hits. He struck out eight and walked five.
The River Cats suffered their third straight loss.
