River Cats break Fresno’s winning streak

Darren Ford led off the game with a home run, and Clayton Blackburn pitched 51/3 shutout innings as the River Cats beat host Fresno 9-3 Sunday night, ending the Grizzlies’ eight-game winning streak.

Ryan Lollis and Juan Perez hit back-to-back homers in the sixth inning for the River Cats, who lost the first four games of the series. Ford and Lollis had three hits each, and Lollis had three RBIs.

Blackburn (8-3) allowed two hits and struck out five.
