Andrew Susac’s homer lifts streaking River Cats past Round Rock
Andrew Susac hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the eighth inning Sunday as the River Cats won their seventh straight, 3-2 over the Round Rock Express at Raley Field.
Susac is on a rehabilitation assignment from the Giants because of a sprained right thumb.
The River Cats tied it 2-2 in the sixth inning. Susac and Mac Williamson singled, and both scored on Kevin Frandsen’s two-out double.
Brett Bochy picked up the win with a scoreless eighth. River Cats starter Nik Turley allowed two runs, one earned, in seven innings.
