The River Cats extended their franchise-record winning streak to 13 games, edging the New Orleans Zephyrs 2-1 in 10 innings Saturday night at Raley Field.
Nick Noonan drove in both of Sacramento’s runs, including the winner in the 10th. Noonan’s single to center drove in Jarrett Parker, who had doubled to right.
Mike Broadway (2-0) picked up the win, pitching the final two innings after starter Ty Blach threw eight strong innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run.
Zephyrs reliever Nick Wittgren (1-5) took the loss, after starter Travis Blackley pitched seven strong innings of his own.
