Kevin Frandsen’s 4 hits lead River Cats past Albuquerque
First baseman Kevin Frandsen went 4 for 4, with a home run and two RBIs, to help power the River Cats to a 6-1 win over Albuquerque at Raley Field on Friday night in a game that featured two Giants’ stars on rehab assignments.
Matt Cain pitched two scoreless innings, striking out three, after Sacramento starter and winner Chris Stratton (4-5) hurled six strong innings, allowing just one run.
Giants’ second baseman Joe Panik was 1 for 3 on the night, with his first-inning single resulting in a score driven in by Cats catcher Trevor Brown.
John Lannan (6-10) took the loss for the Isotopes, allowing six runs –five earned – in seven innings of work.
