Republic tops Tulsa, takes conference lead
Republic FC moved into first place in the USL’s Western Division with a 3-1 victory over the host Tulsa Roughnecks on Thursday night.
Sacramento (9-6-1) has 28 points, one more than idle Colorado Springs (9-5-0). Tulsa fell to 4-7-3.
Midfielder Rodrigo Lopez scored twice and forward David Estrada once for Republic FC. One of Lopez’s goals came on a free kick, and midfielder Octavio Guzman assisted on the other two goals.
Republic defender Emrah Klimenta was helped off the field in the 69th minute.
