Preki led Republic FC to instant success, winning the USL championship in the team’s inaugural season and sparking a strong community following. Now, he’s on to bigger things.

The team announced Wednesday he would be stepping down and managing his last game Saturday against LA Galaxy II before heading to a position in the United Kingdom. Replacing him will be Paul Buckle, who spent 20 years as a player and 12 as a coach in England.
