Colorado Springs beats Republic FC on late goal
The host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC overtook Republic FC for third place in the USL’s Western Conference with a 1-0 win Saturday night, Republic FC tweeted.
JJ Greer scored off Josh Suggs’ corner kick in the 83rd minute for the Switchbacks (9-5-3, 30 points).
Republic FC (8-5-5, 29 points) had chances to tie. In the 90th minute, Cameron Iwasa sent a shot over the crossbar. In stoppage time, Mackenzie Pridham controlled the ball in the box but couldn’t convert.
