Republic FC to play at UC Davis on March 14 in a soccer tripleheader

Republic FC will play at UC Davis on March 14 at 3 p.m. in an exhibition as part of a soccer tripleheader.

The UC Davis women’s team will host Cal in a 10 a.m. exhibition, followed by a UC Davis men’s alumni match at noon.

Last year, UC Davis defeated Republic FC 1-0 in a sold-out exhibition at the Aggies’ soccer stadium.

While it will be the spring opener for UC Davis, Republic FC will have played five matches. It tied with the USL Premier Development League Fresno Fuego 2-2 on Saturday in Fresno and beat the Ventura County Fusion 4-0 on Monday in Ventura.

Republic FC will host the San Jose Earthquakes on Feb. 21 at Bonney Field and the New York Cosmos on Feb. 28 at Hughes Stadium.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for youth ages 17 and younger and seniors 65 and older. Tickets can be purchased starting Tuesday at the UC Davis ticket office or by calling (530) 752-2471. Tickets also can be purchased online at UCDavisAggies.com.
