Raley’s to open 35,000-square-foot grocery store in Rancho Murieta

Raley’s plans a new store in Rancho Murieta, the West Sacramento-based grocer announced Tuesday.

The 35,000-square-foot store will be at Jackson Highway and Murieta Parkway. Construction is to begin in late 2016, with completion expected in the fall of 2017.

Raley’s closed four underperforming stores in 2015 and announced a series of new store plans in the second half of the year.

Raley’s operates 122 stores in Northern California and Nevada.
