Power outages affect Citrus Heights, Oak Park areas

The Sacramento Municipal Utility District reported a spate of outages Wednesday afternoon in Sacramento County, including one that that affected 5,748 customers in Citrus Heights.

About 16,000 customers were without power at 2:23 p.m. for about15 minutes before power was restored to more than 10,000 customers, SMUD reported.

As of 3:30 p.m., SMUD reported that power had been restored to 4,000 customers in Citrus Heights. As of 4:30 p.m., 10 customers in the Citurs Heights area were without power..

Another outage in the Oak Park area affected 801 customers, according to SMUD’s online outage page.

As of 4:30 p.m., only 23 customers were affected by outages districtwide.
