Body found near Two Rivers Bike Trail along American River, Sacramento County officials say
A man’s body was found Wednesday in the American River, authorities said.
The body was recovered just before 12:30 p.m. somewhere near Two Rivers Bike Trail and Highway 160, according to Sacramento County Regional Parks spokesman Ken Casparis.
Casparis said it is unclear how long the body was in the river or why it ended up there, but there were not any obvious signs of trauma.
He said the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will work to determine a cause of death and identify the victim.
