Head-on crash in Yuba County leaves one dead, another with major injuries, CHP said
One man has died following a head-on collision early Monday in Yuba County.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the crash after receiving a 911 call at 3:43 a.m.
A Toyota was traveling southbound on Marysville Road, approaching a Chrysler sedan traveling in the opposite direction. Both vehicles collided near the center line of the road, CHP said.
The 26-year-old driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old driver of the Chrysler was transported to the hospital with major injuries, according to a news release.
The crash is under investigation, CHP said.
