Woman’s body found in vehicle near Fruitridge Road and MLK Blvd.

A woman’s body was found Thursday inside a vehicle near a busy intersection in the south area of Sacramento.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers received a 911 call about 5:30 p.m. Thursday that a woman was unresponsive inside the vehicle near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Fruitridge Road.

Deputies confirmed the woman was dead when they got to the vehicle in a parking lot of a business. She appeared to have been dead for more than a day, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene; however, deputies did not see any signs of trauma. The Coroner’s Department had not identified the woman as of Friday evening.
