Police release photo of car that struck Sacramento bicyclist
Sacramento police have released a photograph of a vehicle they believe struck and killed a bicyclist on Tuesday.
The vehicle was driven by a motorist who fled the scene after hitting a man in his 40s who was riding his bike southbound on Sully Street near Marlin Spike Way about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Robla area.
The bicyclist, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by Sacramento Fire Department medical personnel.
The vehicle that hit the man is described as a silver Cadillac Eldorado, 1992-2002 model years, with tinted windows. The car was also traveling southbound on Sully Street when the bicyclist was struck.
