Citrus Heights man who died in single-vehicle crash in Delta identified
A 49-year-old Citrus Heights man died early Saturday after his vehicle left a Delta roadway and crashed into a tree, the California Highway Patrol reports.
At 4:03 a.m., a person called 911 to report the crash on Isleton Road, south of Andrus Island Road, the CHP said in a news release.
The victim was driving a 2002 Honda northbound on Isleton Road at an unknown speed. The man then drove off the west side of the roadway, down an embankment and struck a tree.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office later identified the man as Louis Abundis.
The use of drugs and/or alcohol is under investigation, the CHP said.
