Officers shoot man involved in domestic violence incident in Tahoe Park area
A man involved in a domestic violence incident Friday afternoon in the Tahoe Park area was shot by Sacramento Police Department officers.
Police received a call from neighbors about 3:30 p.m., said Traci Trapani, Police Department spokeswoman. When two officers arrived, they contacted a man and a woman in a home in the 2000 block of 61st Street. The man then produced a firearm and officers, fearing for their lives, fired at the man, Trapani said. The man was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center. His condition was not known.
The officers were not injured, police officials said.
