Woman struck and killed on Highway 99 in Yuba City
A woman walking in a lane of Highway 99 in south Yuba City was struck and killed by a vehicle early Tuesday.
The woman, who has not been identified, was walking on the highway south of Hunn Road about 3 a.m. when a vehicle northbound on Highway 99 struck and killed her.
A California Highway Patrol news release said it is not known why the woman was in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle told officers he did not see the woman until the collision.
