The Sacramento County Coroner has released the name of the second teen killed in an early Sunday attempted burglary in north Sacramento.

Related: Teen had tried to burgle North Sacramento home once before, police said

He was identified as Michael J. Sambrano, 14, of Sacramento. Earlier, coroner’s deputies identified the other teen as Steven Crider, 16, of Sacramento.

Police said the two teenagers were shot when they attempted to burglarize a house in the 1000 block of Arcade Boulevard. The two occupants of the home, a woman and a man, were not injured.

Police did not identify which occupant of the home shot the teens. However, police portrayed the shootings as a self-defense incident and that they appeared to be justified based on a preliminary investigation.
