Pedestrian struck and killed by car late Sunday near Florin Road
A pedestrian walking near Florin Road and Gloria Drive was killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle, Sacramento police said.
Few details were immediately available and no identities were released, but police dispatch reported the pedestrian was killed at about 9:08 p.m. near the intersection in front of John F. Kennedy High School.
The driver stopped after the collision and was being interviewed, according to police radio traffic. Vehicles were being diverted away from the area late Sunday, police said.
