UPDATE: Man shot dead at Natomas home
Sacramento police homicide investigators responded Tuesday morning to the scene of a fatal shooting in Natomas.
Officers were called at 3:38 a.m. to the shooting at a residence on Saginaw Circle near the intersection of Truxel and San Juan roads.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40s dead with gunshot wounds. Sacramento police spokesman Officer Justin Brown said that the shooting was not a random act and that those involved in the killing knew each other. The dead man has not been identified pending notification of family.
Homicide detectives determined that the suspect is a man in his 30s who left the scene after a possible altercation, according to a Police Department news release.
