Canadian woman killed in Rancho Cordova crash
A resident of Canada was killed when hit by vehicle late Tuesday while walking on Sunrise Boulevard in Rancho Cordova.
Rancho Cordova police said that Therese Ozorak, 80, of Cumberland, Ontario, Canada, was hit by a northbound vehicle that had a green light on Sunrise Boulevard at Monier Circle near International Drive. Ozorak walked onto Sunrise Boulevard and the driver attempted to stop but could not, according to a police press release.
When officers arrived at the scene they immediately began efforts to save Ozorak’s life. Medical personnel summoned to the scene declared Ozorak dead at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.
