The Sacramento County Coroner’s office has released the name of the man killed after an altercation at a Natomas home early Tuesday morning.
The coroner identified the dead man as 44-year-old Dale Lee Botta. No place of residence for Botta was listed on the coroner website.
Botta was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Saginaw Circle in Natomas near the intersection of San Juan and Truxel roads. Sacramento police officers were called to the residence on a report of a disturbance and the sound of gunshots.
When officers arrived, they found the body of Botta with gunshot wounds. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and determined that a suspect had fled the home shortly after the shooting.

The name of the man suspected of killing Botta has not been released. Police said he is in his 30s and was not a stranger to Botta.
