Police identify man arrested in shooting of bicyclist in West Sacramento
West Sacramento police say a 24-year-old man has been arrested in the drive-by shooting of a bicyclist.
Michael Reyes Jr.of West Sacramento is to be booked into Yolo County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder as a result of the Tuesday morning shooting, according to a Police Department news release.
Officers responded to the corner of Proctor and Sycamore avenues about 8 a.m. and found a 42-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was riding his bicycle near the intersection when someone pulled up in a vehicle and shot him, according to a Police Department news release. Police did not release specific details about the shooting.
The victim was taken to a hospital, but police said information on his condition was not available.
