Fire kills man in motor home parked in Carmichael

A man died Monday in a fire that swept through a motor home on a cold morning in Carmichael.

Fire crews were dispatched about 7:45 a.m. to the motor home parked behind a house in the 4000 block of Leos Lane, near Fair Oaks Boulevard and California Avenue, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

The man who died lived in the motor home, fire officials said. When Metro Fire crews arrived, the vehicle was fully ablaze.

The cause of the fire had not been determined Monday afternoon, and the victim’s name had not been released.
