Tire shop blaze sends up black smoke near Capital City Freeway
A roaring blaze at a tire shop not far from the Capital City Freeway sent up a dark black plume of smoke Monday.
The fire in the 2800 block of Plover Street that was reported around noon was fought by Sacramento City Fire Department crews.
The dark cloud of smoke near Marconi Avenue and the Capital City Freeway could be seen from the downtown area.
