Video: Protesters block traffic, arrested outside Capitol

About 14 child care advocates were arrested on misdemeanor charges of blocking a roadway after sitting in the middle of L Street in front of the Capitol on Wednesday afternoon, halting traffic for about 45 minutes, police said.

The advocates were expected to be issued citations and released. They were part of a demonstration calling on lawmakers and Gov. Jerry Brown to increase funding for child care.
