49ers pregame: Aaron Lynch to miss ninth game of the season
CHICAGO -- Outside linebacker Aaron Lynch will miss his fifth straight game with a high-ankle sprain. Lynch suffered the injury Oct. 23 against the Buccaneers and, though he's returned to practice, he has looked far from spry when trying to push off from the line of scrimmage.
Lynch also was suspended for the first four games of the season. Eli Harold, who has one sack in 2016, will start his ninth game of the season.
On the defensive line, Quinton Dial will start after missing the most recent game in Miami. Chris Jones also is active but Tony Jerod-Eddie is not.
Receiver Quinton Patton, who suffered a concussion against the Dolphins, is active against the Bears and is expected to start.
For the Bears, quarterback Jay Cutler is inactive; Matt Barkley will start in his place.
