The 49ers list Frank Gore as “questionable” on their injury report for Saturday’s game after the team’s all-time leading rusher suffered a concussion Sunday in Seattle. Gore practiced on a limited basis Thursday and was listed as “limited” for today’s walk-through session as well.
His understudy, rookie Carlos Hyde, will not play due to an ankle injury. The 49ers’ only healthy running backs are Alfonso Smith and Phillip Tanner, who was signed Wednesday.
Linebacker Chris Borland (ankle), cornerback Tramaine Brock (hamstring), RB Carlos Hyde and receiver Stevie Johnson (knee) also are out for the Chargers game. Starters Anthony Davis (concussion), Ahmad Brooks (thumb), Michael Crabtree (knee) and Michael Wilhoite Hip) are listed as questionable.
Davis hasn’t played since Nov. 16.
