Locals watch: Sacramento’s Kate Grace finishes 8th in 800-meter final
What athletes with Sacramento-area connections are up to at the Summer Olympics:
DeMarcus Cousins, Kings, basketball: Cousins and his U.S. teammates play Serbia on Sunday (11:45 a.m., Ch. 3) for the gold medal. In seven games for Team USA, Cousins has averaged 8.6 points and 4.4 rebounds in 14 minutes, but he’s also averaged four personal fouls and fouled out of two games.
Kate Grace, Sacramento, track: The NorCal Distance Project runner finished eighth in Saturday’s 800-meter final in a time of 1 minute, 59.57 seconds.
