River Cats take beating from Tacoma
Home runs by Jarrett Parker and Travis Ishikawa went for naught as the River Cats lost 7-3 to the Tacoma Rainiers on Monday night at Raley Field.
Parker hit his 12th homer and Ishikawa his first, both solo drives, and Sacramento trailed 3-2 after seven innings.
But Tacoma roughed up reliever Steven Okert in the eighth. Franklin Gutierrez and Stefen Romero singled, and John Hicks hit a three-run homer.
River Cats starter Ty Blach took the loss, allowing three runs in 51/3 innings.
