El Paso prevails with Cats’ help

El Paso scored three runs in the seventh inning, hitting only one ball out of the infield, to break a tie and defeat the visiting River Cats 9-6.

The Chihuahuas rallied in the seventh on two singles (one fielded by pitcher Jack Snodgrass), two errors, a force out, a fielder’s choice, a wild pitch and a walk.

Cats starter Jake Peavy, on a rehab assignment from the Giants, allowed four runs on seven hits in 41/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked one.
