River Cats shut out Salt Lake
Nik Turley and Cody Hall combined on a five-hitter as the River Cats beat the Salt Lake Bees 4-0 Tuesday night at Raley Field.
Turley picked up the win, allowing three hits and striking out eight in six innings.
The River Cats scored twice in the third. Adam Duvall led off with a double and came home on Darren Ford’s single, and Brett Jackson grounded into a run-scoring forceout.
In the seventh, Ronny Cedeno led off with a double and scored on Ryan Lollis’ single. Ford scored the final run in the eighth, getting a bunt single and coming home on Trevor Brown’s single.
