Duvall stays hot, but Cats lose again
Despite Adam Duvall’s hot hitting, the River Cats ended the first half of the season with three straight losses and four in their last five games.
After tying a team record with three home runs on Saturday night, Duvall went 2 for 4 with a double in Sacramento’s 5-3 loss to the Fresno Grizzlies on Sunday at Raley Field.
Duvall, who’s headed to the Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday in Omaha, Neb., is 7 for 15 (.467) in his last four games. He leads the Pacific Coast League with 20 homers.
Fresno designated hitter Tyler White hit a two-run homer off Tommy Hanson in the first inning and walked three times. In all, four River Cats pitchers walked eight batters, three of whom scored.
