River Cats hold off Tacoma
Adam Duvall homered twice, and Carlos Triunfel delivered the decisive sacrifice fly in the eighth inning as the River Cats beat the host Tacoma Rainiers 7-6 Sunday.
Duvall hit a two-run homer in the first inning and a solo drive in the fifth, giving him 23 homers and 65 RBIs this season.
Kelby Tomlinson also hit a solo homer for the River Cats.
Clayton Blackburn picked up the win despite allowing 11 hits and five runs, four earned, in six innings.
The River Cats overcame four errors, two by Triunfel.
