Notes: Results workers are the actual amounts paid to them during 2008, according to the State Controller's Office and the UC system. Since this data looks back in time -- it has to for overtime to show up -- those who worked only part of the year will see their actual 2008 earnings, not how much they will eventually make over 12 months. All UC employees making less than $20,000 -- mostly student workers -- are excluded. Results for non-UC workers do not include temporary, intermittent or part-time employees. Results for legislative staffers show pay as of February 2009 projected out for the remainder of the year. Click on "details" after your search results appear to see gross pay, overtime pay and other pay. Gross pay includes overtime, bonuses, housing allowances, sick leave payout, vacation payout and multiple other forms of cash compensation. Some workers promoted toward the end of the year will see their old job titles listed here. None of the data presented has been changed from what was released to the Bee by the State Controller's Office, the University of California President's Office and the California Legislature.
