Get a sneak peek of the treats at Folsom’s T & 5 Bakery Cafe before its April grand opening

T & 5 Bakery Cafe has opened to the public in Folsom to train their employees.

The shop, which opened at 195 Blue Ravine Road, Suite 100, approximately two weeks ago, maintains special hours until its grand opening in April. While they are currently open six days a week from noon to 5 p.m., that will soon be extended to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed Tuesdays.

Its post-April hours mirror the store’s sister location on Center Parkway, near the intersection of Sheldon Road and Bruceville Road.

Michael Wan manages both locations, and he said the Folsom spot is the first expansion of the Elk Grove location founded seven years ago.

The Folsom location sells cake, cookies, boba, coffee and smoothies. At a later date, Wan said, they plan to offer dim sum.

Wan said the bakery gets its name from the owners’ last names. The pair are a couple and the “T” comes from the husband’s last name: “Tong.” The wife’s last name, he said, is essentially “5” in Chinese.

“We plan on expanding slowly,” Wan said. “We want to do it right, maybe another a couple of years later.”

Hours: Open noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday; closed Tuesdays
