One person killed in solo-vehicle crash along Highway 113 in Woodland
A driver died in a crash Wednesday after their vehicle went off Highway 113 in Woodland and struck a tree, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The single-vehicle crash was reported about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 113, just north of County Road 25A. A Ford vehicle was heading south on Highway 113 before it went onto the right shoulder and struck the tree, the CHP’s Woodland office announced in a news release.
The driver in the silver Ford was found unconscious, according to CHP dispatch logs. Fire crews responded, but the person died at the scene. The Yolo County Coroner’s Office will release the driver’s name and age after their family has been notified.
The CHP said Wednesday that investigators did not know whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the fatal crash.
