Valentine’s Day is almost here and because the day lands on Monday, you can celebrate all weekend long.

Toast to love and visit the Old Sacramento Waterfront for scenic views, wine, restaurant specials or a romantic dinner cruise.

Or grab your partner or friend and take on a 4-mile run through the Arden Park neighborhood.

Here’s how to make the the most of your couple of love-inspired days in Sacramento the weekend of Feb. 11-13:

Sip and shop at the Old Sacramento Waterfront

Grab a group of friends and head to the Old Sacramento Waterfront for a weekend of in-store specials, wine tasting, treats and live music.

Before you head out, check the map of stores participating in wine and treat handouts as well as those set to offer in-store deals.

The Original House of Soul - special Valentine’s menu

Hoppy’s Railyard - $55 per person all weekend.

Honey & the Trapcat - drink specials

Underground Tasting Room - $7 glasses of wine and tasting and $49 promotion for three bottles of white wine.

River City Saloon - $4 champagne specials all weekend.

Take your partner to one of Sacramento’s most romantic spots

Choose between Sacramento’s most romantic and scenic spots this Valentine’s Day weekend including the Delta King, the Crocker Art Museum and the Tower Bridge.

Compete in a Valentine’s Day weekend race

Grab your family and get active this Valentine’s weekend in a kid-friendly, stroller friendly and pup-friendly race. Participate in either a 1.8 mile untimed course or a 4-mile timed course through the Arden Park neighborhood behind County Club Plaza Mall.

Children can also participate in a 2-mile race/fun run.

Racers are encouraged to wear hearts on their sleeves, socks, tutus, onesies and collars to compete for best-dressed awards.

After the race, enjoy refreshments, entertainment, vendors and an awards ceremony.

Tour the historic Old Sacramento Waterfront in a two-hour cruise with open-air dining, drinks and an individually prepared three-course meal served at your table.
